Building Healthy Schools with CISSC

Greenville Health Authority is honored to support Communities In Schools of South Carolina (CISSC) with a $300,000 2024 Healthy Greenville grant to expand mental wellness support for students across Greenville County.

In partnership with Greenville County School District, CISSC will place dedicated staff in four Greenville elementary schools serving low-income communities. These professionals will provide whole-child support, ensuring students receive the emotional, social, and behavioral care they need to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

This investment strengthens school-based mental health services and helps remove barriers to learning by meeting students where they are — in their classrooms and communities.
