The Greenville Health Authority Police Department is a full-service police department having jurisdiction on the properties of the Greenville Health Authority per South Carolina Act 432. It employs South Carolina Class I Certified Officers, with Group I Constable Commissions under authority of the Governor, while partnering with Prisma Health Security Operations for its communication center, manned by contract dispatchers. The Department provides internal and external law enforcement services from its centralized location at Greenville Memorial Hospital with substations at other locations served by the Department. The Department is also responsible for conducting criminal investigations, participating in disaster response, transporting behavioral patients, assisting employees, in pursuit of a safe, secure healthcare environment.
MISSION STATEMENT
It is the mission of the Greenville Health Authority Police Department to provide a safe, secure environment for all patients, employees, contractors, students, and visitors. This mission is to be accomplished through the Greenville Health Authority’s vision of healthcare and public service. The Greenville Health Authority Police Department will enforce all laws of the State of South Carolina and educate the community on safety and risk avoidance issues to accomplish our mission.
