Investing in a Healthier Greenville County
Healthy Greenville represents a bold and ongoing commitment by Prisma Health–Upstate and the Greenville Health Authority (GHA) to improve the health and well-being of Greenville County residents.
As part of its lease agreement with GHA, Prisma Health–Upstate contributes $4 million annually to fund health-related care, research, and education initiatives that directly benefit the people of Greenville County. These funds are administered by GHA through the Healthy Greenville grants program.
Since 1947, Prisma Health–Upstate has invested more than $2 billion in local healthcare infrastructure, with less than 3% derived from taxpayer dollars. This continued investment—along with an average of $178 million in uncompensated care provided each year—reinforces Prisma Health–Upstate’s long-standing role as a safety net provider for the community.
