2025 Healthy Greenville Grant – Expanding Mental Healthcare for Men Experiencing Homelessness
The Greenville Health Authority (GHA) has awarded Miracle Hill Ministries a $200,000 2025 Healthy Greenville Grant to expand mental health services for men experiencing homelessness.
Miracle Hill Ministries is South Carolina’s largest and most comprehensive provider of homeless services, serving individuals throughout Greenville County. Its Greenville Rescue Mission is a 150-bed residential emergency shelter for men and includes six medical respite beds for homeless men discharged from local hospitals, six transitional housing apartments, and two apartments designated for transgender individuals. During the cold weather season, the Mission also provides overnight shelter for up to 150 additional individuals in its gymnasium.
Miracle Hill helps individuals move toward healthier, more stable lives by offering both immediate and long-term support, including emergency shelter, housing assistance, and supportive services.
Through this grant, Miracle Hill Ministries will expand access to in-shelter individual and group mental health therapy for men experiencing homelessness. By combining evidence-based mental health care with the stability of safe shelter, the program will provide trauma-informed care that promotes healing, resilience, and long-term recovery.
