About the Department
The Greenville Health Authority Police Department is a full-service police department having jurisdiction on the properties of the Greenville Health Authority per South Carolina Act 432. It employs South Carolina Class I Certified Officers, with Group I Constable Commissions under authority of the Governor, while partnering with Prisma Health Security Operations for its communication center, manned by contract dispatchers.
The Department provides internal and external law enforcement services from its centralized location at Greenville Memorial Hospital with substations at other locations served by the Department. The Department is also responsible for conducting criminal investigations, participating in disaster response, transporting behavioral patients, assisting employees, in pursuit of a safe, secure healthcare environment.
